We manufacture PVC pool fencing at our Malaga factory that is designed to meet Australian pool barrier standards. It handles chlorine, salt water, and pool chemicals without corroding, and it stays cool to the touch on the hottest Perth days.
Chlorine, salt water, and pool chemicals corrode metal fencing over time. You see it on Colorbond panels around pools everywhere, rust spots, pitting, stained concrete underneath. PVC is completely unaffected.
If you have a saltwater pool, the salt is even harder on metal than chlorine. PVC handles both. The constant moisture and splashing around pool areas accelerates corrosion on metal. PVC does not absorb water and does not deteriorate in wet conditions.
PVC stays cool to the touch on hot days. Colorbond and aluminium get hot enough to burn skin and in Perth, that is most of the year. Around a pool where kids are running in bare feet and wet swimmers, a cool fence matters.
No sharp edges anywhere. Smooth surfaces are safer around wet skin and bare feet. No peeling paint flaking into the pool area. Hose it down when it needs a clean. That is the total maintenance commitment.
