Standard PVC pickets are typically around 50x50mm or larger. The Modern Slim Picket uses a 35x35mm profile that we designed and manufacture exclusively at our factory in Malaga. The slimmer profile gives the fence a lighter, more refined appearance — it looks more considered than a standard picket, without losing any of the strength or durability.
It's a difference you notice when you see it on a property. The proportions feel right, especially on front fences where the fence is part of the overall street presence of the home. We offer it in both Modern flat-top and Traditional pointed-top profiles, so you can go contemporary or classic depending on the property.
With a slim profile like this, the material choice matters even more. Timber pickets at 35mm would be fragile — they'd split and crack in the Perth heat within a couple of seasons. Colorbond doesn't come in a picket profile at all, and aluminium slats don't have the same clean finish once you get close.
PVC at 35x35mm is solid and strong. It won't bow, split, or lose its shape, even after years in full sun. The colour is moulded right through, so there's no paint layer to chip or peel. And because PVC handles coastal conditions without corroding, the Modern Slim Picket works just as well in Fremantle or Scarborough as it does in the eastern suburbs.
The Modern Slim Picket is available in custom heights to suit your property. The slim profile works well at any height, and we can manufacture panels to specific dimensions if your site or council requirements need something outside the standard range.
